Features
Everything a company needs from email, and nothing in the way.
EMX is email, on purpose, and only email. What it has works the same in the browser, on the phone and in every mail app. What it lacks is listed below, with no dates.
In the mailbox
A fast web client
List, conversations and reading in one window, with keyboard shortcuts, drag and drop, and Undo after a move.
Screener
First contacts wait in a folder of their own. Letting someone in once is enough; blocked senders are never seen again.
Rules on the server
File, flag or forward by sender, subject or recipient. They work while no device is on.
Out of office and forwarding
Automatic replies for a period, to real senders only. Forwarding where your organisation allows it.
Search
Searches subject, sender and text on the server. Sealed mailboxes are searched by the browser itself.
Signature and sender
A signature per person, sending as a shared mailbox or on its behalf where the right is given.
For the team
Shared mailboxes
With read, write, delete, send as and manage, given to each person on their own.
Groups and aliases
One address for several people, more addresses for one person, without another mailbox.
Organisation rules
New people join the right shared mailboxes by themselves.
When someone leaves
The mailbox becomes a shared mailbox or goes to a colleague with its addresses. All of it is in the audit log.
Administration
People, domains, shared mailboxes, filter and subscription in one place, with a record of every change.
Spam filter
On incoming and outgoing mail. EMX refuses attachments that are programs, also inside archives.
On every device
Install it as an app
The web client installs on phone and computer and tells you about new mail, without an app store.
Onto the phone with a code
Settings show a code; the phone scans it and is signed in, with nothing to type.
Every mail app
Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird and the phone's mail app over IMAP and SMTP, with an app password per device.
iPhone in one tap
A profile sets up Apple Mail on iPhone, iPad and Mac, with an app password of its own.
What is not included yet
We do not give dates for these.
- Calendar and contactsCalDAV and CardDAV are missing. Who needs them today adds them from elsewhere.
- Exchange ActiveSyncOutlook and phones connect over IMAP and SMTP.
- An app of its own in the app storesThe installable web client and the phone's own mail app take its place.
- Virus scanningA scan for known viruses runs only once the platform offers a virus scanner. None is connected today; EMX still refuses programs as attachments.
- Signed installersThe desktop app is open and builds itself, but is not signed yet.
A mailbox at your own domain, today.
Private is free and starts at once. Switch to Team when more people join.
