Who is behind EMX?
Krauss Software, the sole proprietorship of Samuel Krauss in Oberägeri ZG, under the brand Elchi Studios. Krauss Software is the contracting party, under Swiss law.
Where is my mail?
Messages encrypted in Geneva, the database in Frankfurt with copies in Nuremberg and Paris. The security page names the exceptions.
Does Outlook work?
Yes, over IMAP and SMTP, shared mailboxes included. EMX does not offer Exchange ActiveSync.
Can I keep my address?
Yes. EMX works with your own domain; the addresses stay as they are.
What do shared mailboxes cost?
Nothing extra. Team is paid per person.
How do I leave again?
At any time: an export as a file per folder, or over IMAP. After cancelling, 30 days to export follow.
Are there calendars and contacts?
No, and we do not give a date for them.
Does anyone at your end read my mail?
Not without cause. What applies to requests from authorities is on a page of its own in the documentation. Sealed mailboxes cannot be read by the operator either.
Do I need a contract?
The EMX terms, with the data processing agreement, apply from sign-up. For Enterprise we sign a contract of its own.
